Ordering samples is a practical way to evaluate flexible stone panels before making a purchasing decision. This guide explains how to request samples from Oranturm, identify the products you need, understand sample fees and shipping arrangements, and carry out basic checks when your samples arrive.

1. How to Request Samples from Oranturm

Oranturm offers several ways to request flexible stone samples, depending on the number of products you want to evaluate.

Option 1: Request Samples Through a Product Page

If you need two or three samples, we recommend clicking the REQUEST A SAMPLE button on the relevant product page.

When you submit the form, the product link is automatically included in your request. Unless the product has multiple color or finish variants that require a separate selection, we will use the product's default model as the reference for sample preparation.

If you need a specific color or finish, please identify the corresponding variant. For example, a product with the base model number WP-9090-1 may have additional variants such as WP-9090-1-2 and WP-9090-1-3.

Option 2: Request Samples of Multiple Products

If you want to compare several products or collections, you can submit a request through any of the following channels:

  • Click SEND INQUIRY on a product page.
  • Submit your request through the Contact Us page.
  • Contact us directly through WhatsApp or email.
    Email: Service@Oranturm.com
    whatsapp:+86 13725419821

To identify each product, you only need to provide one of the following:

  • Full product name
  • Product page link
  • Product model number

If you request samples of multiple products—especially when requiring specific colors or surface finishes—providing the product variant model number is the most accurate way to ensure correct fulfillment.

2. Sample Fees and Shipping Policy

Our sample policy is designed to help buyers evaluate products before placing a larger order.

  • First six samples:
    Free of charge.
  • Additional samples:
US$1.50 per sample after the first six.
  • Shipping:
    Paid by the customer.
  • Shipping method:
Samples are generally shipped by air on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. If DDP air shipping is unavailable for your destination or special circumstances affect the arrangement, we will inform you before payment.
  • Credit toward a formal order:
For requests of up to 20 samples, applicable sample fees and shipping costs can be credited toward the payment for your first formal order. These amounts are credited to the order rather than refunded separately after the order is completed.

For requests exceeding 20 samples, please contact us to confirm the applicable terms.

Before arranging shipment, we will confirm the sample details and shipping cost with you.

3. Information Required for Sample Delivery

To help avoid shipping delays, please provide accurate delivery details:

  • Full recipient name
  • Complete delivery address
  • Correct postal or ZIP code
  • Valid email address
  • Contact phone number

Please check your address and contact details carefully before payment. Incomplete or incorrect information may delay delivery or prevent the carrier from completing the shipment.

4.What Happens After You Submit a Sample Request?

After receiving your request, we will review the product details and confirm the sample arrangement and shipping cost.

The usual process is:

  1. Confirm the products.
We check the product names, links, model numbers, and any specified color or finish variants.
  2. Confirm shipping details and cost.
We verify the delivery information and available shipping arrangement.
  3. Arrange payment.
We create a sample shipping payment order, generally through PayPal. Bank transfer may also be available.
  4. Prepare and dispatch the samples.
After payment is confirmed, samples are generally dispatched the same day or the next business day.
  5. Send tracking information.
Tracking details are usually emailed within one to three days after dispatch.

Tracking availability depends on the carrier's scanning process and the international shipping system. A tracking number may not show movement immediately after dispatch.

Samples are packed in corrugated cardboard boxes. The package footprint is approximately 30 × 20 cm, while the thickness depends on the number and type of samples.

5. What to Know When You Receive Your Samples

Oranturm flexible stone samples are primarily intended to showcase the product's color, texture, pattern, and surface finish, helping you evaluate its appearance for your project.

Please note the following when evaluating samples:

  • Bending tests:
We do not recommend bending cut samples, as cutting changes the panel's dimensions and stress distribution, making the results unreliable for determining the bending radius of a full panel. The following two panel types illustrate these bending capabilities:
  1. Travertine-style panels (600×1200 mm): Approximately 150 mm bending radius for a full panel.
  2. Black Mountain Rock-style 3D panels (600×1200 mm): Approximately 300 mm bending radius for a full panel.

These values apply to the specific panel types shown and should not be assumed to represent all Oranturm flexible stone panels.

Preliminary Flexible Stone Sample Inspection Guide

Inspection Item Test Method Favorable Sample Characteristics Signs to Watch For
Texture and Firmness Feel the surface and assess the panel's flexibility. Retains a stone-like feel while remaining moderately flexible and firm. Pronounced plastic- or silicone-like feel; excessively soft and prone to curling.
Water Immersion Immerse the sample in clean water for 10–15 minutes and observe the surface. No obvious powdering, cracking, or delamination. Obvious powdering, cracking, or delamination.
Light Transmission Place the sample above a light source, such as a household light, with the back facing the light. Little to no visible light transmission through the panel. Extensive visible light transmission or light passing through most or all of the panel.
Odor Check After opening the package, check the back of the sample for any noticeable odor. No strong or irritating odor. A pronounced plastic-like smell or chemical odor.

Note: These checks are intended for preliminary sample evaluation only. Material characteristics may vary, and the results should not be used alone to determine product quality grades or suitability for a specific project.
